bulletImportant: The search fields are joined by an OR, so a search will return all records containing any of the criteria entered.
bulletEnter all or any part of the names of interest. The Surname field refers to the groom in a Marriage record or the subject individual in the case of a Baptism or Burial record. Married women were sometimes recorded under their married name. If the results is too large, search for an Exact Match in the Alternative search page.
bulletSpouse and Mother fields are in the format Surname, Given Name. Mother's surname was sometimes omitted and sometimes was shown as her married name.
bulletSearches for names containing an apostrophe fail. Search for Neil to get O'Neil, or O'Neill, along with McNeil etc....

bulletEnter the Surname exactly as spelled, with neither spaces nor punctuation.
bulletFor the Spouse and Mother fields the test is "Begins with...." Use a comma to end a surname.
bulletIn the Witness and Minster fields the test is the field "Contains...."
bulletConsider spelling variations; there are many in these files.
